The Lake House

Rounding out the main cast of “The Island” are Djimon Hounsou as the head of the security team sent to hunt down-Lincoln and Jordan; Steve Buscemi as a man who befriends Lincoln despite working for the institute; and Michael Clarke Duncan as another resident who is unaware of his fate when he is selected to go to “The Island.”

The film was written by William Monahan. Damon would play a gangster who has infiltrated the Boston police department as part of its cadet class and has been steadily rising through the ranks. DiCaprio will play a cop who’s been deep undercover inside the mob and is starting to come unglued. Each side works feverishly to flush the mole out, with deadly consequences.

The Da Vinci Code

The Counterfeiters


“The counterfeiters” is the true story of the largest counterfeiting operation in history, set up by the Nazis in 1936. Salomon “Sally” Sorowitsch (Karl Markovics) is the king of counterfeiters. Upon his arrival, he once again comes face to face with Herzog, who is there on a secret mission. Hand-picked for his unique skills, Salomom and a group of professionals are forced to produce fake foreign currency under the program Operation Berhard. The team, whichalso includes detainee Adolf Burger (August Diehl) is given luxury barracks for their assistance. But while Salomon attempts to weaken the economy of Germany’s allied opponents, Adolf refuses to use his skills for Nazi profit and would like to do something to stop Operation Bernhard’s aid to the war effort. Faced with a moral dilemma, Salomon must decide whether his actions, which could prolong the war and risk the lives of fellow prisoners, are ultimately the right ones.

Considering their destructive potential, it’s a good thing super-eruptions are so rare - the last one happened in Toba, Indonesia, about 74,000 years ago. Geologist think the eruptions take place about every 50,000 years, which suggests one is overdue.

Sin City


A collection of interweaving stories all based in the corrupt, crime infested hellhole that is Basin City. Heavily influenced by film-noir, the main storylines concern a hulking brute called Mary, who is seeking the murderer of a beautiful woman who was killed while asleep in bed with him (along with the help of her twin sister); a photographer called Dwight who is callously used by a manipulative woman and seeks revenge, only later accidently killing a hero cop and having to cover it up; and a soon-to be-retiring policeman called Harington who is incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit only to find, on his release, the girl he was protecting when he was framed is under threat from a sinister psychopath. All based on the brilliant graphic novels “Sin City” “A Dame To Kill For”, “The Big Fat Kill” and “That Yellow Bastard”, written by Frank Miller.
